I stared blankly at my desk for a few minutes before writing this post because I was having the hardest time coming up with the best words to describe my dear friend, Cecily. Lots of words and memories come to mind that it's hard to narrow it down in a way that paints the best picture of what this sweet girl means to me. The phrase that keeps coming to mind is, "big hearted," except I'm not sure if that's even how you say it. I just mean that she loves deeply and cares strongly about the people in her life. She feels what you feel whether it's joy or pain. A friend like that is a treasure.
We knew each other in high school, but it really wasn't until we lived on the same hall at Liberty that our friendship took off. We had weekly meetings together as a requirement for being on our halls leadership team - those times of talking about Jesus and praying together are among the dearest of my memories from Liberty.
We got engaged and had our weddings just a few months apart, and now her sweet Canon is going to be born just about a year after my Levi. This baby, by the way, is the answer to many deep and heartfelt prayers. Because of some certain medical issues that she has dealt with since highschool, she knew that getting pregnant could be difficult...but the Lord has been gracious to bless Cecily and Robby with a sweet boy, due in just a few short weeks.
I love you both and can't wait to hold your precious baby!
And p.s., Cecily had about 10 outfit changes. We narrowed it down to about 4. It was really fun and kept things moving along :)
Beauuuuutiful pregnant momma!
Please excuse that this picture is a tad out of focus. I couldn't resist posting it because it such an accurate portrayal of Robby and Cecily's relationship - he is always making her laugh.
Rock it girl.
Cecily really wanted some true "belly" pictures. I suggested we paint her belly like a pumpkin or wrap her in a bedsheet but she surprisingly wanted to keep it simple. Jk.
This little setup was Robby's idea. Great job Robs.
I love this one.
And we'll end with this one. Don't worry if you don't understand why there are three pumpkins in the picture. Even my super-smart businessy husband didn't get it.
Daddy, Mommy, baby! Get it? Too artsy maybe?
